Contour 01 marks the first gesture in this new phase of Samak Laban: a soft, continuous curve of bent wood that understands how to hold space without overwhelming it. Its form wraps gently around the body, creating a natural boundary that feels open, supportive, and deeply human.

In Systems of Presence, objects behave — and this chair knows exactly how. It settles confidently into a corner, or gathers easily with low tables and other pieces to build small, quiet arrangements. Viewed from the side, its line becomes its language: a single contour that carries the whole story.

Inspired by early bent-plywood modernism, Contour 01 is reproduced with careful proportions and a warm, honest finish. It respects its origins while living comfortably in contemporary spaces — adaptable, calm, and always aware of the room around it.
